About the CarmeLIGHT Movement
The movement of the laity to keep the Carmel candle burning bright for the world
through support for the education of future Carmelite priests and friars. This movement is carried out by the Jalan Kecil Community, which is part of the lay ministry of the Indonesian Carmelite Order.

To educate prospective Carmelite monks/priests, quite a large amount of funds is needed. This is partly because their number is not small, and the coaching period is quite long. Attempts are made to raise funds for the formation of the works of the Carmel Order, which can bring in income from donations from the people.

Through the CarmeLight program, we are all invited to participate in preparing candidates for Carmelite priests and monks. Isn't this our duty together as members of the Church? We can become foster parents for them through this program.
In the spirit of cooperation, the educational funds for prospective priests and monks, which are required per person per month, are divided into packages worth Rp. 250.000,- (Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Rupiah). A donor can support by taking one or several packages, which will be referred to as a 'candle’ for each packet.
